Rope access services

We carry out wind turbine composite blade inspections and repair, fall arrest and anchor bolt installation and testing, and provide consultation services for Rope Access, height safety, confined space entry, and rescue.

We employ a dedicated team of Industrial Rope Access Technicians, who perform maintenance and service operations effectively and with the highest regard for safety and efficiency.

This initiative offers our Clients a faster, more flexible and cheaper solution to the issues of maintaining inaccessible areas of wind turbines.

Our most popular services include:

  Tower inspections, cleaning and painting
  Blade inspections, cleaning, and repair
Fall arrest and anchor bolt installation and testing
  Consultancy services

Blade services

We currently offer the following key rope access blade service packages to our Clients:

End of warranty check-up

Typically blades aren’t inspected close-up once they have been installed. The advantage of viewing blades at such close proximity rather than through a telescope is that a larger number of defects can be detected. This also provides the opportunity to perform percussion testing and defect investigation. We recommend a hands-on independent inspection of all blades prior to warranty expiration to identify any such issues.

Annual blade check-ups

Blades should be inspected every 2 years, or more frequently if there are known issues. By scheduling the inspection of a percentage of your blades each year, we can provide this service at an annual fixed fee.

Annual blade maintenance

When combining Blade Maintenance with the Blade Check-up, the life of the blades will be extended and future repair costs will be lower. Both of which will lead to an increase in efficiency. We can perform minor repairs, upgrade leading edge protection, and fill gel coat cracks among other maintenance tasks. Maintenance tasks include:

  Internal and external inspection
  Laminate and coating repair
  Construction assembly support
Inspection and installation of lightning protection systems
Repair and installation of blade protection and aerodynamic systems
